I’ve now received a review quote for The Enemy Harassed from Kim Burdick. She is an award-winning public historian who has coordinated a number of major projects including the nine-state Washington-Rochambeau Revolutionary Route (2003 – 2009). She is the Resident Site Manager of the historical Hale Byrnes House, Chairman of the American Revolution Round Table of Northern Delaware, and Chairman Emeritus of the Delaware Humanities Council. Kim is also the author of Revolutionary Delaware, and frequent contributor to the Journal of the American Revolution. Of my new work she writes:
“Jim Stempel’s account of George Washington’s 1777 New Jersey Campaign is both readable and important. The Enemy Harassed is a colorful nonfiction book based on meticulously footnoted eyewitness accounts taken from the letters, diaries, and journals of soldiers, militiamen, homeowners, 18th Century newspaper reports, and American and British government records. The Appendix includes excellent biographical vignettes.” – Kim Burdick
